What if you’re giving yourself less credit than you deserve?
Over the last month, I’ve been intentional about challenging myself to step into at least two new spaces each week. That's meant attending networking events and saying 'yes' to things outside my usual routine. It's been me showing up in spaces where I’m meeting new people and trying something a little different. And it’s been really refreshing and energizing! A few weeks ago, I found myself at TEDxSan Diego, and somewhere between the speakers, conversations, and people

Apparently I needed to take my own advice 😂
I've been thinking a lot lately about the difference between being busy and being intentional. Because they're not the same thing. You can be incredibly productive and still be moving in a direction you don't actually want to go. You can be checking all the boxes and still feel like something isn't quite right. You can be really good at what you do and still wonder, Do I even want to keep doing this? I've been reminded of this myself over the last couple of months. Earlie

What my alpine vacation taught me about setting boundaries, building trust, and leadership
I’m freshly back at my desk after an incredible and restorative two-week journey through the Alps with my hubby. We hiked mountain trails, chowed down on delicious local food, and got into freezing glacier

My husband and I have been spending a lot of time lately planning and finalizing a big, upcoming trip. ✈️ We're almost at departure time now, so lately we've been figuring out logistical details, coordinating schedules, and researching our little butts off. I'll save most of the trip details for another time, but the process itself has become a bit of a side project around here. And if you've ever planned something a little out of the ordinary while juggling work, family, r

The thing I finally admitted to myself in 2021
Over the last month, I’ve been part of a cohort with 31 other small business owners here in San Diego, and the experience has sparked a lot of reflection for me. I’ve loved connecting with people from different backgrounds and perspectives, while also navigating some very human moments of comparison and self-doubt -- wondering if I’m doing "enough" or growing fast enough. But I think it’s important to normalize that even when you’re building something meaningful, you can stil

Why "good advice" isn't changing anything
When was the last time you got really good advice… and still didn’t follow through❓ I’ve been thinking about the difference between advice and coaching lately. Because I see it all the time. And I've totally experienced it too! We hear something that clicks . It gives us that little boost of motivation 💥. But a few days go by...and nothing really changes. It's not because you don’t care about "the thing". It's because there's still something underneath there, blocking
