Is anyone else feeling "behind"?

My husband and I have been spending a lot of time lately planning and finalizing a big, upcoming trip. ✈️ We're almost at departure time now, so lately we've been figuring out logistical details, coordinating schedules, and researching our little butts off. I'll save most of the trip details for another time, but the process itself has become a bit of a side project around here.
And if you've ever planned something a little out of the ordinary while juggling work, family, responsibilities, and everyday life, you know it's rarely as simple as you imagine it will be.
Which got me thinking about something I've been wrestling with lately...
The feeling that I'm not doing enough.
Not because I'm actually doing nothing.... it's quite the opposite.
Life is full. Work is busy. Thoughts are swirling. There are exciting things in motion.
But often I look around and see someone launching faster, growing quicker, traveling more, posting more, accomplishing more, earning more, doing more. "More, more more". 🙃
And suddenly, despite everything on my own plate, it feels like I'm falling behind.
Maybe you've been there too. 👋❓
You have a plan, and then life happens.
And before you know it, you're measuring your progress against someone else's highlight reel.
The problem with comparison isn't that it reminds us what's possible.
It's that it often causes us to forget what's already true.
We're carrying things that other people aren't.
We're navigating challenges they don't see.
We're building something that doesn't look exactly like anyone else's path.
And most importantly...
Your timeline isn't wrong just because it doesn't match someone else's.
When I notice myself slipping into comparison mode, here are a few questions I try to reflect on:
What have I done lately that I may not be giving myself credit for?
What would I say to a friend if she were in my shoes right now?
What are some signs that I'm actually making progress?
Because honestly, things are often moving (in some direction) even when it doesn't feel like it.
Maybe not as quickly as we'd hoped...
Maybe not in the way we originally imagined...
But recognizing that progress doesn't always look the way we expect (or even want) it to.
If you've been feeling behind lately, I hope you'll give yourself a little grace today 😊.
You do not have to be productive every minute of every day to be worthy.
You don't have to have everything figured out.
And you definitely don't have to keep up with everyone else to know you're making progress.
I'm learning that sometimes the goal isn't to do more ➡️ it's to pay attention to what's already working and make sure we're building a life and career that reflect what matters most to us.
🌺I'd love to hear from you: What's one thing you've accomplished recently that you're proud of but haven't given yourself enough credit for?
P.S. If you've been feeling stuck, second-guessing yourself, or wondering whether you're really making progress, you don't have to figure it all out alone. Coaching can help you gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with intention. If that sounds like something you need right now, let's chat.
