I’ve seen this behind the scenes for years… now I’m doing something about it.

And just like that You, it's February...whew!
This month, I wanted to share about the special place that I have in my heart for newly promoted leaders and middle managers.
That person who gets promoted into leadership, is handed the figurative 'keys to the castle', basically handed a laptop and told “okay... you’ve totally got this!” on their way out of their boss' door.
Sometimes that person is you.Sometimes it’s the person managing you.And sometimes…(eek)...we’ve all had that manager. 😜
What I do know is that people are complex creatures... AND that leading other human beings is complex. Like, where the fuck is the road map, nobody-prepared-me-for-this complex. And people leadership is not a skill most people are ever formally taught. Even though leadership has a massive impact on our quality of life at work… the place we spend a huge chunk of our lives.
Hello ⁉️ ➡️ upwards of 60% of workers would leave or have left due to bad management. Management and leadership are so important!
From my 10+ years in HR, I’ve had a front row seat to what happens when leaders are struggling. I’ve seen talented employees disengage, team tension quietly build (and sometimes boil over), and managers second-guess themselves behind closed doors — a lot of “I don’t know how to handle this,” but not much of the open vulnerability that actually builds trust with their teams.
I have also seen how much positively shifts when leaders are actually supported and empowered. 💪
That’s why I’m growing a part of my coaching work that I care deeply about: supporting newly promoted and middle managers. Here’s what that looks like:
👉 1:1 Coaching for New Leaders
A confidential space to talk through real situations (not textbook ones), build confidence, strengthen communication, and learn how to lead in a way that feels authentic.
👉 Group Coaching for Leaders
Small groups where managers realize, “Oh good, it’s not just me.” They share challenges, learn from each other, practice being real, and grow together. Imagine equal parts practical and relieving.
👉 Leadership Trainings & Workshops
Interactive sessions for teams and organizations on topics like feedback, tough conversations, boundaries, confidence, and leading without burning yourself out.
Strong leaders don’t just drive results. They shape people’s everyday experience at work (for better or worse). No pressure, right? 🙂
If you work at a small or mid-sized organization that could benefit from this kind of support, I would ❤️ to connect.
And if you are a leader thinking, “Wow, we really could use something like this,” let’s talk about what bringing it into your organization could look like.
Because better leaders don’t just make better workplaces. They make work feel more human....which we are 🌍.
